Mum Luanne Walton - Supreme Inspector

Mum Luanne was the first of Canada's Supreme Members to be a Majority Rainbow Girl. She was a Charter member of Westmorland Assembly #23 in Moncton, New Brunswick. In 1980, she was a member of the first group from Westmorland to receive her Grand Cross, and in 1981, served as its sixth Worthy Advisor. Mum Luanne served as Grand Worthy Advisor in 1984-85. When she moved to Ottawa in 1990, she became involved with Ottawa Assembly #3, serving on its Advisory Board from 1992 to 1995 and as Mother Advisor in 1993. Mum Luanne was invited to join the Senior Grand Executive Committee in 1995 and became Chairperson of that Committee in 1998.

From 2000 to 2002 Luanne served as the only international member of the Rainbow Renewal Task Force, a group of 15 women charged with beginning the work of renewing Rainbow. On July 1, 2002, upon the retirement of Mum Little, Mum Luanne became Supreme Deputy.

Mum Luanne was elected to the House of Gold at Supreme Assembly 2012. It was very special for her to be installed as a Supreme Inspector in 2012 when Canada co-hosted with Michigan, with so many Canadians in attendance, including her parents.

In 2014, Mum Luanne was thrilled to be appointed Supreme Immortality by her friend of many years, Cora-Ellen Moody of Maine who was Supreme Worthy Advisor 2014-16. She later served as Supreme Chaplain 2016-2018, Supreme Drill Leader 2020-2022, and Supreme Parliamentarian 2022-2024. She is currently serving as Supreme Recorder (2024-26).

Mum Luanne served as Supreme Inspector until February 15, 2016 and assumed the role again as of February 16, 2023.
