Rainbow Assemblies in Canada

Learn more about our local groups: Assemblies

What is a Rainbow Assembly?

Our locations have tweens and teen daughters who gather together to build leadership skills, give back to the community, and create lifelong friendships. Spanning ages 6-21, girls grow with their sisters into strong, compassionate women – having fun in the process!

Where do you meet?

Meetings take place twice a month, usually in partnership with Masonic Lodges. Some of our meetings are members only (with parents always welcome), but we have plenty of meetings and other activities where you can meet the girls, see what we do, and get a feel for the program.

How does Rainbow get Girls ready for life?

Through volunteer work, public speaking, and creating events from idea to day of, members develop skills they’ll carry for life. Whether your daughter is outgoing or still finding their voice, Rainbow gives a space to grow, supported by mentors and surrounded by peers.

FAQs

Business meetings are held twice a month. Girls set up the Assembly room for the meeting, enter the room in formation, speak their lines for a part (they rotate roles every six months), conduct a formal business meeting including reviewing meeting minutes, past events, and upcoming events, and exit in formation. The girls take down the room and

Some of our meetings are open to all, while others are closed to members and our supporters. Parents, grandparents, and guardians of members are always welcome, as well as little ones 2 and under.

While Rainbow doesn’t have a uniform all members are expected to purchase and wear, we do expect our members to dress ready for the meeting as per our dress code. Part of learning how to present yourself is dressing and looking the part!

Most meetings have a “business” attire, meaning dress clothes (dress pants, skirt, dress, etc.). Some of our meetings are “formal”, and this is where girls get to dress up in gowns and other formal wear.

Fun events have a casual dress code to match the purpose of the event.
